Trailer Cleaning
 McLaughlin Freightlines units are washed on the inside of each Refrigerated body on a regular basis, the Company’s policy is ‘wash before loading’.
The Refrigerated trailers are hot washed with a pressure cleaner. Additionally, acid based chemicals are used regularly to sterilize trailer units.
All trailers have been inspected by the NSW Food Authority and hold a current Licence to carry Food Products.
Company Drivers
 Drivers operate McLaughlin Freightlines vehicle’s adhering to a Defensive Driving policy and obeying all laws and regulations. It is the Companies objective to ensure ‘time on the highways’ is always as safe as possible.
McLaughlin Freightlines drivers are dressed in company approved uniforms at all times, and supplied with the appropriate Safety Equipment. All drivers are required to work within the guidelines of our McLaughlin’s own drivers and operators manual.
Accidents
In the event of an accident the Company has a written procedure for drivers to follow which includes:
• Stop vehicle at once, try not to obstruct other traffic.
• If you are not injured, ensure fi rstly other people are not injured.
• Make sure other public members are cared for and made safe.
• Report serious accidents involving injury to the Police.
• Obtain witnesses and names and addresses.
• Advise MFL Management as soon as practically possible. |
